地球を感じられる博物館で学ぼう
神奈川県立「生命の星・地球博物館」は地球と生命について学べる博物館。
地球の誕生をテーマにした常設展では、いん石や地球上の岩石の標本などから地球誕生の足跡をたどります。
また、生命の営みをテーマにした常設展もあり、恐竜や象などの迫力ある骨格標本を展示。
生命の進化の過程を学べます。
はるか昔、丹沢は海の中だったと知っていますか？
その頃の化石や地層を調べることで、海中にあった丹沢山地が、およそ500万年前に本州と衝突、さらに伊豆半島が約100万年前に衝突し丹沢山地が誕生したことが分かっています。
こうした発見があるのも地元の博物館の醍醐味ですね。
